Hello, I'm Jon Charles (JC for short) a New York-based photographer and visual creative, currently working as a freelancer and educator.

I shoot portraiture, travel, editorial, and street, using both digital and 35mm formats in both black and white and color.

Before switching my focus to photography, I spent more than a decade working as a web designer and developer for organizations and individuals including Pearson Education, Madison Square Garden, and Emmy Award–winning designer David Gallo. In 2023, I began studying photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and have since continued developing my practice through freelance work, teaching, and personal projects.
